During the last 8 weeks I have done more talking and thinking then ever before in my life. It is true that everyone can think about philosophy and the meaning of life, but ... for some of us it's easier then for others. For me thinking about the pu...

Guess what we found in the wood ... Yep, this huge "cèpe", a delicious mushroom. Actually we found lots this year but this was definitely the biggest specimen! I said "we" found but I should say Hubbie found cause even when they have this size th...

  • So quiet ...

Posted on Wednesday October 1st, 2008 at 06:25 in blue tongue fever, farmers, financial crisis, going broke

I just came in after having fed the chickens and ducks. Today, once again, it struck me how quiet it was outside. This has never been a particularly noisy or busy area but there's always some farmer working his land or moving cattle, sheep, goats....

I enjoyed your blog. My neighbor trains misbehaved horses and I call her the Horse Whisperer. To watch her work with these beautiful creatures is amazing.
I love your ability to promote positive thinking through your words. Life can be a happy journey if we could just learn that we, ourselves are the only ones responsible for our own happiness.
Thank You for the very inspiring reads!

I just visited your blog. I loved it!

I love horses, really miss mine right now (they are back in Ohio until we can get something ready for them here.)

Good luck selling at the famers market! I think that's wonderful. I love shopping at them myself.

Hi Karen, and I also spent some time to read your posts and liked your writing style. Very informative about horses and great videos too. Keep up the great work you're doing.
About my post regarding the stolen photos. I wouldn't mind giving permission for my photos to be used on other people's blog/sites - only if I am asked and have had the opportunity to approve of the blog these will be posted on, and if the photos are linked to my blog or Flickr account. This is all that I am asking (which isn't that much at all), and anyone taking these without my explicit permission, and without linking to any of my sites is in breach, and is stealing. And yes, I am considering bringing my photography to another level and start selling my photos.
