The official blog of the New Orleans Craft Mafia. The New Orleans Craft Mafia formed in June 2005 and consists of several independent artists in a variety of media: jewelry, clothing, accessories, home decor, and more.

The group models itself after the original Craft Mafia in Austin, Texas, where a small group of talented ladies joined together to support each other in our crafty business endeavors. Interest grew across the U.S. and Craft Mafias have been popping up all over the country.

Hi, I stumbled across this blog on a google search trying to find some sort of craft fair or flea market in the New Orleans area the weekend before or after August 5, 2009. My husband is native to NOLA and we are going to be in the city for a wedding on 8/5. He makes custom jewelry and we do shows all over North East Texas. We would like to do some sort of show when we come down for a wedding but I have been unable to find anything going on. Around here we there are several venues that are available to crafters once a month on the weekend almost anywhere within an hours drive of Dallas.
