Octavine Illustration--a little blog about Art Deco, Travel, Music and Beauty
http://octavineillustration.blogspot.com
Welcome to Octavine Illustration! My goal is to construct a world of retro images based on the classic Art Deco form. I garner inspiration from the sensuous lines of Deco haute couture, classic silhouettes of sleek sophistication. Imagine the 1930s era of Hollywood beauty queens, the Chrysler Building and the Duesenberg. Style and craftsmanship reigned supreme, nurturing the creation of a product solely for its beauty. That is Octavine Illustration. With gouache as my medium, I craft fonts and images which are completely hand-wrought. My images are then transferred to silk-screens to produce the bold colors you see in my art on cloth or paper. I do not use digital technology to alter my images in any way. As a result, my creativity is not bound by a machine.

If I could have rated your blog 11 I would have.
Nouveau and Deco periods of art are my particular favourites, and so I loved your images, but the invitations are just superb.
You have an exquisite talent, and the courage to do what you love to do. This can only lead to success and happiness.
