Did you know that crochet CANNOT be made by machine. All crocheted items are made by hand, therefore all the "inexpensive" crocheted clothing, home accessories, decor, jewelry, and shoes, yes shoes, are made in sweatshops for little to nothing.
Crochet is a skill, the people who crochet deserve to be treated as valid in their labor and creations. One of my aims is to get people to acknowledge that buying a $10 crochet table cloth at any store is wrong...just plain wrong...because someone worked their fingers to the bone LITERALLY to the bone to make that piece...
