I love the black layout, I use one as well..and I love it. Great content too, very informative. I'm not a huge fan of your banner, but if you like it...that's all that counts right?
Your side bars, look a bit wordy to me, lots of text is small print, etc. Maybe a lil freshening up is in order.
Anyway, just some thoughts.
