Recently, I attended a wedding of a college friend. She had worried for awhile about what to give as favors because she wanted to give her guest something nice but did not want to spend a fortune. Well, she found the most delicious favor- she gave out chocolate covered Twinkies, each with a tag attached that had a picture of the bride and groom and the date! Everyone loved them. They also had baskets of chocolate bride and groom lollipops at the doors when you left. I think they got them from fruitsandsweets.com Yummy!

Recently I was the lucky person elected to be the bridesmaid at my soon to be sisters-in-laws wedding, and along with this honor bestowed upon me was the gift of wedding coordinator! Well since this was a long time friend of mine and my little brothers wedding I was really happy they asked me for help. Little did I know what this was really going to entail. Well the cake was easiest part for the bizarre theme they were going for an elegant NASCAR wedding, (This was defiantly going to be a red neck wedding if I ever heard of one.) Well luckily we found a local cake maker who could make the front of the cake look really elegant and the back to look just like the back end of Tony Stewart's NASCAR! I don't know how the cake maker did it but it was perfect, from the front side it was a typical elegant cake and the back side was a orange and black car!
Then came the invitations now that was hard we wanted nice not tacky. After weeks of searching we finally decided on a great alternative to a typical Wedding Invitation, an Event Ticket Invitation and we found them at Invitation Consultants.com. So when all the guests who attended the wedding got to the wedding had to show their official ticket to attend just like they would at the races. Well after a whole year of planning and laughing and crying and stressing finally it was the big day. And I was very happy to see it come to an end! I have to say â??Kudosâ?? to all those wedding planners out there it's not as easy as it looks and I think from now I will just be attending weddings not planning them. Well at least until my own boys get married. Maybe or maybe not??? Blondblogger
