Using the book you mentioned as the basis of your blog sounds like a great idea to me. If I were you, I'd try to change some of the recipes just a little, so you don't wind up repeating what's already been done. I checked out your site and can tell you're just getting started . . . try using a different background color for starters. Lime green gives people headaches and makes it difficult to focus on your content. Try white or creme colors. They are more soothing.
