Hi Al,I like your latest post.Interestingly I've just finished a book called The Ageof Gold by H.W.Brands.He mentions an Australian goldminer,who was a miserable failure in California but found the mother lode in New South Wales.The guys name was Edward Hargreaves.

How a writer without an inside track gets a novel published in these days when the whole industry is up in the air is always interesting. Publish or Perish gives an honest and optimistic account in a voice so engaging you really root for this man.
