The blog portrays the reality of it all. It is not a rhetorical campaign for the Republicans but a bold look at the future of America when it becomes a Socialistic Nation.

We Republicans have to stop Blogging and start doing. Here is something we can all do:

Republican Senators who voted for the Stimulus Package were Sen. Specter (R-PA), Collins (R-ME), and Snow (R-ME) may need defeated in the next election however there is an interim step that can be taken by the Republican Leadership that would make life quite stressful and embarrassing for these three. Without the vote of these 3, the Stimulus package would not have passed.

Senator Spector is the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Senator Snowe is the ranking member of the Senate Small Business Committee
Senator Collins is the ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security Committee

As ranking member is a Senator who is a member of the minority (in the present the Republicans) and who has a status above their colleagues. You can find out more about the ranking members at http://www.senate.gov/general/common/generic/officer_responsiblities.htm

Ranking members for each committee are appointed by the leadership. Ranking Members have the following privileges amongst others:

1. Larger and more attractive office
2. Larger staffs
3. Bigger budgets
4. More status

The Republican Senate Leaders, McConnell, Kyl, Alexander, Cornyn, and Ensign can remove the ranking privileges of these Senator's for not voting on the most important position of the caucus the Stimulus Bill. Tell everyone you know to contact each of these Senators, who are the Republican leaders in the Senate, at the following numbers and tell them to remove the ranking privileges of Senator Collins, Snowe, and Spector.

Senator McConnell - (202) 224-2541 - Minority Leader
Senator Kyl - (202) 224-4521 – Minority Whip
Senator Alexander - (202) 224-4944 – Conference Chair
Senator Cornyn - (202)-224-2934 – Conference Secretary
Senator Ensign - (202) 224-6244 – Committee Chair

In addition, you can call the House Republican Leaders and urge them to call their Senate Leadership colleagues (above) and to urge their Senate counterparts to remove the ranking privileges of Senator’s Collins, Snowe, and Spector The House leaders are:

Rep. John Boehner - (202) 225-4000 – Minority Leader
Rep. Eric Cantor - (202) 225-0197 – Minority Whip

You can also call your Senator or Representative to do the same thing. You can find their numbers for the Senate at http://www.senate.gov/index.htm and for the House at http://www.house.gov/

With your help we can be successful in altering the Stimulus Bill in conference to better reflect our values. This will only happen if we can bring Senators Collins, Snowe, and Spector back into the fold. If we can’t then we’re probably better off without them and new blood in these ranking member leadership positions. This issue may be the most important issue in our country’s history. Don’t sit by and let it just happened.

Cut and paste and pass this on to everyone who is liked minded and wants to do something.

I am a former Perot independent that voted for the McCain/ Palin ticket. I did so not out of fear of socialism, at least not the term itself, but instead out of an unswerving devotion to the ideas of merit and a common nationalism. Though Obama is an excellent public speaker, he was presented to the public without a critical examination of his political background, including both an examination of his resume, and the resume of his Marxist campaign manager {google Axelrod}, or perhaps George Soros for that matter.

Where I think that the Republican party went wrong was that it didnâ??t even so much as address the pressing problems our society faces such as: outsourcing, price discrimination in healthcare, taking a leadership role in industry, and instead stuck only with taxation rhetoric, and deregulation/ free market diatribe. The party was also out of touch with the realities of race in America and the effects of rampant immigration. If the editor feels like editing, or removing this post due to a queasy feeling about race, then be aware that the author is part- Amerindian. If these few social ideals/ socialism had been addressed by the Republicans/ lobbyists, then perhaps an Obamanation may have been averted.

Meanwhile the banking system has harnessed our future efforts for its own welfare. The banking system is now all but nationalized, and along with the soon-to-be nationalized auto industry will bankrupt the nation. The banks wonâ??t care since they will be banking on your tax dollars.

Sincerely,

Frustrated in Florida

I am a Democrat that has watched John McCain, a Republican that I respected, lose the his way during the campaign. I think he understood that the nation was looking for a centrist, but was forced to the right by his coalition.

While you may believe that all democrats are bleeding heart liberals are anti-Republicans, I disagree.

I believe there needs to be a balance of power. We need Republicans to keep government from growing out of control. However, under GW Bush, government has grown more than most Democrat administrations. It leaves Republicans and Democrats alike wondering about the basic principles of the Republican party. Are your for smaller government, or do you want the government to grow so it has greater control over individuals and businesses? From reading multiple posts and conservative articles, it seems you can't have it both ways.
You can either be for small government that allows people to live their lives as they see fit or you are for a large government that regulates personal lives, including who you marry, what you do to your body, and your religious and political beliefs. Are the party of fiscal conservatives or cultural conservatives? I cannot see how you can't be both because they are at odds with each other.

It will be interesting to see how the Grand Ole Party reinvents itself....just as the Democratic Party did decades ago.

David Boren, who endorsed Obama, was outed as queer in the gay press in 1993. He was also being accused of sexually harassing his male staff members. That is the real reason why he resigned from his seemingly safe U.S. Senate seat during the following year. For publications in the gay press about Boren, see this youtube video and click on the link in the text box for scans of excerpts.

Boren wants a Washington appointment from Obama. Republicans should be prepared to tell your Senators not to confirm him if Obama gives him one.

You might be a liberal loon if:
You believe record snowfalls are caused by global warming.
You believe drilling for oil, at home, is raping the earth, while importing foreign oil is OK.
You believe increasing taxes on those who provide jobs to Americans, will stimulate the economy.
You believe the republicans are responsible for what the democrats did.
You believe a man could spend 20 years in church, and have no idea what the reverend said.
You believe ACORN is a force for good.
You believe, spreading the wealth around, is sound fiscal policy.
You believe a man could have extensive close personal contact with a terrorist and have no idea the terrorist today, wants to bring radical change to America by any means possible.
You believe that hope and change, without substance, is a good thing.
You believe that giving more money to a social parasite, who refuses to work, is giving a hand up.
You believe Sean Penn is a great American.

Finally, you might be a liberal loon if:
You believe, a man who says he is fine with killing babies, is our savior.

Wake up America!
