pezwezMy mother took a school loan for my brother 12 yrs ago, my brother, who was supposed to pay for the loan has deceased since then. I have tried to negotiate between the collection agency an my mother. She owes $4000 in principal and 1200 collection and the $3800 interest. I called the collection agency and ask to reduce the total which they did, but will not send a contract to my mother, they have only send an offer. Is the offer a bidding document in the court of law. Or if I send the money without a contract will the collection agency come back and ask for the rest?
