Michael Powers is elusive by nature, but completely transparent in reality.
He is a mixture of immigrant and blue blood, poise and tact, along with the occasional dabble into the surreal and the inane. He was born in California, but raised on the east coast, calling both the Washington DC area and Boston home. With such varying homesteads, his writing style is a fusion of tradition and cynicism with an always humorous and optimistic outlook. He speaks portuguese and spanish fluently, having lived in Brazil for two years, and he has traveled to Canada, Spain and Paris and would like to continue his travels in the future.
To Michael, the world is a dazzlingly magnificent place that we may never fully grasp, but that should not inhibit us from trying.

Bashing the Pencil.
I think it's about time someone told you the truth about pencils. They're lame. You want an explanation? Try writing with one. We're talking endless sharpening, graphite on your hands (if you write a lot, and especially if you're a lefty), and splinter...
Beware the Wrath of TJ
You know it. I know it. They know it. But who are "they"? And why do they know it? That's not important. We must face the facts. Two dollar bills aren't really that cool.Yeah sure, they serve as currency when you're stupid/smart enough to forget that...
