I absolutely hate those emails! In the spirit to waste the time and get the hopes up of one of these spammers, I once exchanged emails with him for about a week just to see how far they'd go, and to raise his hopes for nothing. The emails became pretty humorous and his became more and more outraged.
In case someone ever wanted to ore info about the email address that was being used, and determine if it was in fact legit, you could always use the services of an email locater service to see if the name registered matches who the person says he/she really is. That will be a dead giveaway. Also, if the sender claims to be from the UK Lottery Commission, the chances that the email should be registered to a lone person are slim to none (catch my drift)?
