Thanks for the kind comments. Always nice to hear from fellow Scotch Chix. Sorry we missed the one from October. We have now posted our email address in our description: scotchchix@gmail.com.
In terms of a more full flavored beginners scotch: if you like smokey, check out Caol Ila 12 or Bunnahabhain 12; if you want something full flavored and fruity, try the Glenlivet 18 (not the 12) (and if you have a Costco that sells hard liquor, you might be able to find it for around 45 dollars). On a more expensive note, Springbank 15 has kind of a chocolaty finish and the Macallan Fine Oak 17 has a hard candy taste. The traditional Macallan line has a distinctive sherry taste that some people really like. Or, you may have a palate for the heavy hitters in the peat world - Talisker, Lagavulin, and Laphroaig. If you can find a good scotch bar, you might want to try stuff by the glass first.
