A sense of place is the feeling of completeness in the environment around us. It can be found in a public space, where the scale and character, the materials, and the balance of openness and enclosure feels just right. It can be found in a home, when a room feels just right - the windows capture the perfect view; the ceiling is just the right height for the room size; maybe it just feels like "home". It can be found in unexpected places, too - places I look for and share here.
