One mom's journey past the ultimate point of no return

The birth of my first child marked the end of the world as I knew it, and I most certainly did not feel fine. But, the kid and I survived the newborn thing and eventually reached an understanding. My husband and I welcomed our second child just 13 months later. Readers who share in our adventures will laugh, they'll cringe, and they'll probably relate.

I had a somewhat mortifying incident with the kids about a month ago. Our trip to the park started out fantastic. The playground equipment was dry (as usual, I'd forgotten a towel to wipe the prior day's rainwater off the slides), intact (not sure wh...

It's official: My 19-month-old daughter "wuvs" me. She told me for the first time as I greeted her at daycare Wednesday night. She said it spontaneously. And, like everything she says, with vigor. Annalie Charlotte rarely disappoints in the oomph depa...
