Swinging the Burning Broom is powered by the Voices of two dynamic sistas (Black women) who seek to broadcast the African American woman's perspective on the world around her. Our intention is to bring the perspectives of REAL Black women CENTER STAGE. So many individuals have preconceived notions about the Black woman, what she thinks, who she is, what she wants, what she lives for and what she will die for and most of those notions have been sucked up passively from pop-culture, reality TV and bogus news blurbs. The propaganda and hyperbole machines are so effective in creating this globalized matrix of unthinking zombies that even some Black women do not know who they are. Well, we're here to remedy all of that. Swinging the Burning Broom is about telling IT like IT TIS--And we ain't running for office or any damned popularity contest. So if your sensibilities are fragile and you are easily offended by the truth, carry your sorry tail on!
