Realistically I need: 1) Another year of research, theorizing and writing to professionally finalize my Love Theory and book. 2) Another year after that to find a publisher 3) Another year after that for the publishing process 4) Another year after t...

Here’s my latest contribution to The Legal Satyricon. I had to put aside motherhood responsibilities and personal projects to comment on Elizabeth Wurtzel’s views on women who opt out of career in exchange for motherhood. Ultimately, ...

And raisins will never be represented the same again. Sun- Maid isn’t the first to vamp up their logos but why did the Sun_Maid girl have to come out looking like a brunette Barbie? Oh, because that’s quickly becoming the national sta...

Darren Rovell made a good point in his piece “Tiger Ads Continue to Run” stating Tiger Woods’ ads will take on double meaning. One reads: what are you made of? The other: The road to high performance isn’t always paved. ...

You know, thin might be nice for runway but eeewww on those legs. If I were a guy I’d be terrified not only to break her tiny arms in half in bed but to get kicked by those goat legs. Dis CUST ing. And you thought those models were so aw...

I just bought the new issue of W with Demi Moore on the cover yesterday. Planned to discuss how she looks incredibly hot – and THIN – for 47 -only that her thin wasteline doesn’t look all that natural, particularly being we̵...
Hi Hyderabadiz,
Thanks for the review.
I can suggest 2 books equally good:
Philosophy and Sex, 3rd Edition, edited by Robert B. Baker, Kathleen J. Wininger & Frederick A. Elliston (Prometheus Books)
Philosophical Perspectives on Sex and Love, edited by Robert M. Stewart (Oxford Uni. Press)
They're a collection of essays from experts in the field, intergrating various concepts of feminism, morality, philosophy and much more. As far as a single book by one author, I have yet to locate something as provocative but if you find one, let me know!
With respect to "duty", I don't have a definite opinion as I'm not sure exactly what you mean in relation to rights and responsibilities as they relay to sex and love. If from a religious standpoint, that presents a different equation than from a huminisitic one, I think. I disagree with various religious factors of duty.
Further, I'd group duty more with love rather than its own "side". There is a duty to oneself to understand love and how it relates to all facets, specifically, the duty to love thy self and others, how that plays an integral role in society and the way we form concepts of love and sex, thus evolve our lives for the better.
Interesting question. I'll ponder it further. Feel free to write me personally (address on blog in "about" page) and perhaps you can shed more light on what you mean. We can discuss it.
Glad however you found me. I'm interested to browse through the sites that make up the Hyderabadis Team.
Best wishes,
Tatiana von Tauber
