Is there a way? Found a lower rate but my current provider wants $300 early termination fee.
This blog shows various ways of finding the lowest cost electric provider for commercial businesses as well as residential homes. An energy broker goes out to multiple electric companies in Texas to obtain the lowest bid on a companies electric usage. Residential electric prices are listed in a more straightforward manner as usage levels is less of a pricing component.

Regarding Pure Energy8.8 cents a kWh is pretty high for a commercial rate for 2 years. We are seeing 6.5 - 6.7 cents a kWh for "energy only" in Houston and Dallas for a 2 year electric rate. Your 8 cent rate is much higher then what the market is showing right now. Why so high Pure Energy Solutions?
Saphir ParooTo all those looking for a great deal on electricity for commercial businesses please consider the following. I am an Energy Consultant for Pure Energy Solutions in Dallas,TX and work with multiple service providers. My job is to analyze your current usage and allow multiple companies to compete for your business. Currently, I am able to lock in rates around the 8.8 cents per kwh level, and am able to do so for up to two years. By using my service, I can guaranty no unexpected charges on your bill, a low fixed rate that will not change, and the option to renegotiate every 6 month if the price per kilowatt hour drops.

Robert HThe general public at times finds it annoying when couples insist on bringing their infant along on their outings, such as restaurants, movie theaters, and undoubtedly more so when they bring baby along for a robbery. Can you just imagine how terrifying it is both for the mother and the infant she is carrying to see themselves on that situation? Yes, folks, that's right, some joyful family unit down in Texas brought their infant along for an armed robbery of a payday loan store in the Lone Star State. This not only added to a growing number of payday loan store robberies, it added a nearly surreal element of bringing along their infant child that will no doubt grow up in foster care since the parents will be going to prison. When most people think of fun for the whole family, armed robbery isn't what most have in mind.

another customerI had a chance to speak with the same Greg and all I can say it must be a very small company. It doesn't surprise me with the billing errors. I'm still trying to dispute how they signed me up for a package i didn't pick, and Greg's explanation was "well you picked it" - great customer service there.
BimalThis is about Early Termination fee though I have not used the service .
I requested for service from StarTex,how ever I could not move to that apartment as the
apartment was damaged because of hurricane.During that period,I moved to another apartment
and requested StarTex to transfer my connection to my new apartment, but because of
hurricane StarTex could not provide me power during that period and I requested for
cancellation of service and I was said the service is cancelled and there is no dues from
me.
After this I used to get calls on my cell for many days regarding non payment.I never
received any bill in my apartment address. When I requested customer care, I was said I am
getting call by mistake and my number will be removed from the list.
Again after some days I started getting calls and again when I requested customer care, they
helped me looking at my account and I was said there is a 3 days charge to my account and I
have to pay that. So I paid an amount of $23.38 though I have not used service from StarTex
for a single day.Now I received a letter saying there is an early termination fee of $150.00
to be paid for this service.
When I contacted customer care, i got the below response after 5 days.
Thank you for contacting Star Tex power. In regards to your early termination fee I spoke
with Greg in our collections department and he states the fee will stand. A switch was
processed on your account. If you want to further discuss the fee you can contact Greg in
collections at ext 2501 at 866-917-8271.
However I could not find this person after calling 5 times.
Beware!!Never go for Star Tex.
