19 years ago I was hammered with the art bug. I took every class in Fine Art and Photography they offered including Chinese Brush painting, and Life Drawing. I recently struggled through Dream Weaver and Flash and Action Script to put up a site of my work. bturnerartist.com The problem is that I paint for ME and soon ran afoul of some "Snottsdales" Galleries. I have not one drop of Marketing blood coursing through these paint stained veins. I would really benefit from your idea. I also have a dream to begin a nonprofit organization named (at the moment) GuerillaArtiste in which I would organize some of the latino and others from the "non-chic" part of town and I have virtually enjoyed the galleries and the work I saw there. I think that to help another soul find the ability to SEE what they are looking at and SEE the beauty all around us ALL of the time, Wow what a rush it would be seeing them discovering the deepness of all the emotions we feel when we see the work we do actually come alive with harmony, interest, and most of all:Causing a viewer to experience a strong emotion to my work. I think you all are a force that is needed so badly, as we as Artists and Photographers are so connected to our own work, we are seeing the passages that could have been portrayed so much better. We are our worse critics, so there is much fantastic Fine Art just stored away in closets, etc.. I would like to let those works see the light. I have 2 other Domain names that I could use to get these out there and would be glad to donate them to a org. that is committed to doing that. What you all are doing is so cool and in a way carrying on the tradition of placing new forms, techniques and thought to the Hoy Paloy.
