Preakness field starts to take shape
It’s been a wild week since the Derby as the game continues to take a look at itself in the mirror and come to grips with some of the concerns of the general public. Quietly in the background, the forward procession of the Triple Crown contin...
Where do we go from here?
I’m still reeling a bit from the tragedy of Eight Belles going down in the Derby. In the 48 hours or so since that awful moment, a lot of discussion and debate has occurred. Our game has always been one that has attracted controversy. ...
RIP Eight Belles - a moment of reflection
Time to step back for a moment and pay tribute to Eight Belles. No words or commentary from me. I’ll let her tell the story: Video#1 - Video made by BitterSweet2525 on youtube. Video #2 -made by rachellevine on youtube V...
Big Brown Wins Kentucky Derby; Eight Belles Euthanized
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The famous line from Dickens could not ring any truer for the post race atmosphere at Churchill Downs following the 134th Kentucky Derby. The overwhelming favorite, Big Brown, turned in a jaw-d...
Derby Selections - It’s Time to Pick a Winner
It’s hard to believe that in just 24 hours we’ll be gearing up for the 134th running of the Kentucky Derby. Derby day is a special day for horse racing fans around the country, and the single day on the calendar where our sport takes c...

This is a highly informative blog on the horse racing industry, written by an enthusiastic fan with a broad base of knowledge. He has taken a heroic stand that includes championing the causes of having drugging totally removed from horse racing, standing against breeding for speed alone, getting the young under-developed 2-3 year olds off the track, as well as, supporting research to determine what the optimum surface for horses to run on really is.

This blog has much of the uplifting, joyous quality of the movie, Seabiscuit. It's post time, and off we go--this is the feeling generated with each and every blog entry.

I love this Blog.
My grandmother is a horse owner.
I told here about this Blog,
so she sat down to read it and just love it.
Her favorite horse was the great Northern Dancer.
Thanks for putting a smile on her face.
I'll be back.

Kdawg, you offer a very informative and entertaining blog. I can tell that you really love horseracing because you put enough enthusiasm behind each post to make a girl from Idaho want to head out to the Kentucky Derby, with a few dollars of fun money in hand, of course!! ;)

Hi, I'm your new neighbor. Allow me to throw fertilizer all over my lawn and make your town smell wonderful, empty my chemical toilet into your sewers, and I'll introduce you to my pitbull who loves to bark and nothing in the earliest hours of the morning. On the bright side, you won't need an alarm clock anymore and you'll be amazed how fast the property value goes up, even when I invite the rest of my relatives to move over here.
If you're open to new music, then you'll just love hearing all sorts of interesting heavy metal with catchy choruses the whole family will enjoy while trying to enjoy their dinner after a hard days work.
I hope you're religious, because I have a lot of people into all sorts of alternative religions! I won't go into it, I'll leave it to your imagination, but don't worry if you hear the goat out back, he won't be there much longer :)
