Books are my life so this is my outlet. Here I share my obsession with fiction, literary journals and a bit of non-fiction. Things may be approached from a Jamaican-lost-in-Canada perspective. Bring your silly hat, perch it on your curious brain & relax.
Recent PostsIt was difficult to choose an excerpt to properly display Woolf’s humour although they all carry an irreverence I found particularly appealing. She deals with poets very badly in this novel; I’d love to know which ones in particular ticke...
Testing, testing. I’m back in Jamaica at least for a year or two, maybe forever. If my family has its way I’ll be back in foreign this time tomorrow. Jamaican men are radically different from every other kind. I forgot how much. I still r...
INTERVIEWER Most people know you’re a novelist, but you spend a lot of your time writing nonfiction. What led you to start writing essays? ROBINSON To change my own mind. I try to create a new vocabulary or terrain for myself, so that I open out ...

Ilka FloodHi,
I love classical movies too. Since I watched most of them in Germany growing up, I don't know their original English titles. It's nice to hear them in the original voices though instead of the dubbed version ;o)

I joined your neighborhood because I want to stop back by often.
