Great blog, Margaret - thank you! A very minor member of the PRB, Thomas Armstrong, is on my family tree. He studied with Arie Scheffer in Paris, and was the first director of what was to become the V&A Museum in South Kensington, London (just as well, as his paintings were strictly academic, showing competence rather than talent).
