Known for her previous blog fame, "Freedom Watch" - Layla is a prolific writer and blogger who says things like this:

* "We are a nation of laws, yet we do not enforce them when it comes to immigration. It is too bad because now we really have a melting pot and the cast iron has worn thin."

* "I do not have to know where you come from, or where your circumstances brought you in life, but one thing I do know of - our words speak volumes of the things that we hold dear to us, the things we believe in, whether they be of different or the same persuasion."

* "No toppling Saddam Hussein did not automatically create a new and better Iraq-but Iraq without the dictumâs of Saddam is relatively safer. Our troops are working hard on a daily basis, twenty-four/seven protecting the Iraqi citizenry from the constant attacks of the insurgency and their sick view of exacting justice. Executing Saddam may not solve the problems of Iraq, but it sure will let every world dictator know that that their days are numbered."

This blog is definitely not for the socially correct or the politically mentally ill.

i've been working on a lot of formatting stuff lately, but in general i'm covering the local scene here in kentucky and doing more opinion kind of stuff on national politics/policy.

Layla, it really dosen't help all that much when you give yourself a rating of 5:)

Now the review:

This is an excellent blog for anyone interested in politics, in particular conservative politics (although I think Layla and I might disagree a bit on the definition of "conservative"). It is intelligent ,perceptive and pulls no punches.

Though I do disagree at times on some issues there is no question Layla is a patriot.

Moreover, she is the kind of strong woman I admire and like.

And she rocks!

I've called, faxed and emailed my Senators to have them oppose the bill. The arrogance of Congress these days is amazing.

Then I decided to get off my a** and try something else. So I made a bunch of bumperstickers and magnets and set up a web site to try spread the word.
