So! We're coming to the end of 2009 and a year of what I think would be fairly classified as political turmoil. Gordon Brown has had up's and down's...ok, mostly down's, the USA has a new President in da House and it seems all hell has broken loose i...

Hello! It's been a while but here I am again. And today is a good day. I submitted my UCAS application (that's the system we Brits use to apply to University), I finalised my first bit of coursework for English for its final hand in date and complete...

  • What ever happened to trust?

Posted on Tuesday November 17th, 2009 at 08:15 in religion, politics, life, society, people, drugs, teenager, law, racism, bnp, fair trial, inncocent until proven guilty

I'm 18, I'm still young in comparison with the majority of people, but even I can see a degradation of simple trust in our society. The days of everyone trusting everybody else are almost up - replaced with a depressing need for background checks on ...

I know it's late, but this news has just astounded me and I had to write something. "Tories rule out treaty referendum" This is just incredible, unbelievable, astonishing! The Conservative Party, after years of campaigning for a referendum on the L...

  • A bit of housekeeping

Posted on Wednesday October 28th, 2009 at 16:47 in Other, Housekeeping

It dawned on me today that we've gone an unusually long time without a post. So to put matters right I have sat myself down at my newly tidied desk, turned on Roxanne by The Police, and logged on. It is about time I think that I went through housekee...

I almost frowned and Ctrl+F4'd when I saw the "Men are from Mars Women are from Venus" post in Iratedog's blog. After glancing over a few well-written posts, I felt a sense of dread. "Oh, please don't tell me the other author is an idiot."

And then I read it, and I liked it. It was a short but well supported list of biological differences between men and women, not just some playground stereotypes that have carried over into adulthood like I initially suspected.

So don't be fooled by the headlines, and give this blog a chance. You won't be disappointed.
