Yesterday I had been planning on attending a friends baby shower. Unfortunately, the arrival of Aunt Flo after another IVF cycle put a dampener on my planned outing. Emotionally I was raw and upset from yet another failure. Whilst I am very happy f...

Today heralds the end of my two week wait. The spot of red on the toilet paper today told me a story I did not want to know. I am not pregnant. Nine cycles and no results. Countless embryos and no result. Countless injections and drugs and ...

Well I am officially in the 2 week waiting zone but the reality is, when you are doing IVF, every aspect of your life can become a waiting game. And it’s a game that is not always fun. The problem with IVF is that all one ever does is WAIT! ...

Thanks for your comment Tanya. I understand totally about the acne situation. Seems everytime I do IVF, I get acne. I saw a skin specialist to help me get rid of it and this has been very succcessful. I am using a prescription gel which has helped significantly.
You may need to go to your GP to get a referral but I've found the level of advice they give on acne much better than any GP I have gone to. Do tell the specialist if you are planning on getting pregnant again as some medications are not suitable if you are trying to conceive as they can cause birth defects. The specialist will work around a solution for you.
I will also be reviewing a non-prescrition product with my next cycle to assess its suitability for acne so will let you know how I get on.
