Babes and badasses: Review of Black Seeds of Vengeance by Nile
ConclusionIn terms of being badass, Nile is one of the most innovative technical death metal bands. Each track is characterised by sheer brutality or ingenuity. This is their second album and it is a bit fractal, but if you know Nile well it is still...
Babes and badasses: Underworld (2003) Review
ConclusionAccording to Roger Ebert: "This is a movie so paltry in its characters and shallow in its story that the war seems to exist primarily to provide graphic visuals."Film critic Roger Ebert. He could star in the sequel to Zero Wing.If you consi...
Babes and badasses: Review of Dr Feelgood by Motley Crue
While researching Giallo films, I encountered the terms babes and badasses which describe the type of characters you may encounter in Grindhouse films. 'Babes and badasses' together make for a pretty catchy phrase so I decided to make it the theme fo...
Curse of the Devil (1973) Review
ConclusionA legendary film with a cult following, also known as El Retorno de Walpurgis or 'the Return of the Walpurgis'. You can't really go wrong when your blood looks like molten crayons and your werewolf costume looks like one of the Berenstain B...

I have never seen a review site like this one. The articles are extremely well written, and researched. Not just about the movie, band, etc., that is being reviewed, but also about the issue at hand.
This site is a must read whether you are looking for a review, or just to be informed about an array of interesting subjects.
Let this blog take you where you have never been before.

This blogger has a fascinating blog and a somewhat warped sense of humor. His coverage ranges from horror films, heavy metal, technology to feminists and he's rumored to be the lovechild of Cthulhu. What more could a reader ask for?

Great stuff here. I like the historical perspective on the latest review (cassette players, "it's like the iPod of the eighties that works with a steam engine")
Merry Christmas!
