It really is so amazing how blind people are, how desperate people were for "change" that they didn't care what the change was. They didn;t step back to see the forest for the trees. And people will regret it once the government sinks its teeth into them, and people realize just how much they lost.
And a quick note on health reform... something needs to be done. its called fix the malpractice system. get rid of a system that encourages hospitals and insurance comopanies to settle for two million dollars for a bogus malpractice because tis cheaper than going to trial. Make people and lawyers responsible for bringing crap cases to court, and not only will you see less malpractice cases, less money will be spent on wasteful tests doctors run to cover their asses. Fix medical malpratice. So basic, so evident. But the dems get so much money from the trial lawyers, and every politicians has a friend or relative who make s aliving this way, that we'll never see a change. It sucks. Fix malpratice law, and you have hundreds of billions to fix teh healthcare system.
Unfortunately, epople without insurance, and people with children and relatives without insurance, would rather have soemthing, regardless of how crappy and restrictive, than nothing at all.
