Recent PostsI love your blog. I started collecting sea glass only this past summer after a trip to Maine with my husband. I have found almost all my seaglass in Gloucester, MA. I have found white, seafoam green and a few small blue pieces. I am hoping to go to...
I paid my first visit to my father's aunt in Lakebay in 1970. On display, at her home on Puget Sound were 5 glass balls. All of them in excellent shape and differing sizes. The sizes ranging from approx. 12" ball to a 4" inch ball, and one in a bo...
SEA GLASS MARBLESAt left: A true, well pitted, blue swirl sea glass marble. Occasionally, a true sea glass marble piece can be found on the beach. It is very rare to find a marble or piece of a marble. Each of these was picked up by me along a Pacifi...
My Latest Finds Some of my recent sea glass finds include a handful of bubble-filled teal greenish blue shards. This is a rather rare color for us and likely comes from fragments of the vintage, Japanese and Korean glass fishing floats that have mean...

John FoxworthyCame across your blog in a funny way. I have collected sea glass for several years with my wife on various trips around the world. Friends thought we were crazy to spend time picking up a bunch of glass! We have spent hours hunched over and looking for that one special piece to claim the days "Super Find". Our kids now tag along to join in the competition to find THE piece. Perhaps it is the prospector in me or just trying to imagine how many years, places and surfaces that this little piece of glass may have touched. We came to realize that sea glass hunting really helps us take our focus off of the mundane daily grind and really just relax. Your site looks fantastic and your blog is very informative. Hope to see more from you soon. John at Furnishedhomes.com
