Lisa WinesSo this girl Heather is someone I haven't met. But she is my pal, so my review is a bit one-sided. I get a sense about Heather - who she is and what she stands for - from her unabashed writing style. She's a camera for her home, her relationship, her neighborhood and the people that flow in and out of her life and most importantly, for herself. We get to see her tonsils and how she looks in her pajamas, but with that little extra Heatherish twistaroo. Her side woman, April, is lovingly and teasingly depicted. I assume April has infinite patience, and not just with the dog peeing into the floor vent. I look forward to Heather's blog posts every day and how she returns the compliment when she reads and comments on mine.

It is refreshingly funny, but can also be very sweet. She has the power to make you comfortable and cozy with her style of story telling and leaves you craving more. You will always want to hear the next thing that happens to her.
I eagerly await her return from vacations and short trips because I know there is a "story" to be told. Everyone is fair game, but they all still love her anyway. She even takes a few shots at herself, which is a brave and rare thing to do.
When a writer can take a mundane story about brushing your teeth, that will make you cry from laughing, you know you want to be her friend. Read this blog and walk away with a smile and a warm feeling.
