I know that I am misunderstood by some readers. I also know that it is hopeless to attempt to explain myself through words -- written or spoken. I get grief for purposefully being open to others. The truth is, I am willing to accept anyone and everyo...
I fly a lot but I had a chance to actually drive to my job today. It was a day like any other day except for the fact that, as I was driving, a post popped into my head. I guess being a frequent flyer frequently induces writer's block. It occurred to ...
I wrote this to Brandon as he was preparing to leave for college a few years ago. He is a senior this year. I had completely forgotten about it and as I was working today, I stumbled upon it. It is remarkable to me that this occurred because I had be...

For many of us there comes a time when our friends scatter, and there is that inescapable feeling of abandonment. We sometimes use the term fair-weather friend in reference to people like that, but whatever we chooses to call them, I don't believe mo...

DianeJeff writes beautifully and uplifts you.
hangingonahyphenThe author of this blog should get down on his knees, beg for my forgiveness, and write me an engraved apology. That's the least he can do for the many times he made me feel like shrinking with insecurity because of the profound ideas he has and the brilliant way he expresses them.
Page SmithA thoughtful and beautiful blog.
Laura BentonSome of the best writing I've found on the concept of Unity.

Robin EastonNow this is a blog I can sink my teeth into. The writing is personal, approachable, warm and very very real. Jeff is someone who ponders life deeply and sheds light on topics we all need to think about. After reading his thoughts you feel like you known him or at the very least that you should know him. Wonderful blog.

Cornelia BakerYou are my hero!
hangingonahyphenHere is the blog I will be pushing hard to cite if I get into an argument about content being more relevant than form. Like the hurricane topic that greeted me upon my first visit, this one blog by Jeff Baker sweeps you off your feet. It is like reading a personal letter from a friend. I had been told that writing is an act of courage. I guess it's because when you have reached that certain level of talent, and you become completely confident in your ability to work with words, what propels you is not the talent anymore but the courage to express yourself and risk, judgement, misinterpretation, and even ridicule. The author is refreshingly bold enough to face all that risk and in succeeding, you only get to love what he writes. I would recommend it to my friends...
