Good general list on occupational safety precautions. However, should add several items related to industrial hygiene. For example, always know the hazards of the chemicals you work with. Ensure adequate ventilation. Only use respiratory protection that is appropiriate for use and for which you have been trained. I don't expect anyone to under chemical toxicology, occupational toxicology, or industrial hygiene to the extent that the professionals do. But, employees need to have a basic understanding of these concepts.
