"This is Why I Donkey Vote" was initially a response to the US election in 2008, an attempt to explain how political action rarely, if ever, brings change.
In Australia, a significant portion of voters, for whatever reason, choose not to support any particular candidate, and either "Donkey Vote", submit unmarked ballots, or deface their ballots.
So, the blog was initially an explanation of donkey voting and the reasons behind the authors Protest Voting. Most recently, however, the author has been covering more and more of the global economic crises, it's causes, and how government action is hurting more than helping.
