TravelingOffice.net serves as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas on telecommuting, at home and while traveling. For years we have worked in a virtual office environment. At first we used conventional methods like phone, fax, messenger services and such. As technology has evolved so has out ability to stay connected remotely during working, pleasure and combination trips.
Taking advantage of telecommunication tools such as VoIP, virtual phone and fax services, remote forwarding, cell and satellite phone and other similar devices we have worked remotely from the U.S., Europe, Australia and Asia for extended periods of time (a month or longer); and Africa though that was more involved and expensive and less reliable.
We often travel internationally and telecommute full or part-time while away. We have shared our findings and experiences with colleagues and friends who have used them successfully as well. Now we share them with you and invite you to share your experiences and insights with our virtual office community.
