I am just writing to put this out there. I was recently brought in for an interview at a Fedex Express location in New Orleans Louisiana. The thing that got under my skin was that I made it through the interview and was sent for a physical and drug test. The physician told me that I passed the physical and I don't do drugs. The manager never even bothered to call me at all. I was told by a recruiter for Fedex that if you get to that process they are ready to put you in a class and hire you. I guess my question is what was the problem in this situation? I would still like to get hired to work for them is it worth trying to do so again.

I can understand the delivery driver making pickups while the courier is out making deliveries if those pickups are ready and are on the route to be delivered to and that package is ready to be picked up. With those conditions set it would save money and fuel. If those pickup are on the return to the station not deviating from a normal return route then it would also make sense.
Adding the part timer is just to reduce your hours of pay he maybe makes $13.77 an hour at best, you may have a higher rate of pay which means more money out of MANAGEMENT. Remember management/corporate is greedy they want that high bonus pay. You being out there longer with the rest of the hard working more then the low end pay scale people cost them that change.

I wonder how many other FedEx employees former and present know of this blog, and the truth behind everything he has said. I wished there would be a way for him to contact me. I think he would be surprised about what I would like to tell a few employees this way FedEx Legal would probably get on the ball and pay my wages my ex station manager failed to pay

ha i used to work for fed ex home delivery
much worse, paid per box, no salary, no hourly wage, no benefits no nothing. pissing in bottles setup to fail and terminated if they dont like you while others get to fail everyday... horrible place to work. runs on intimidation and worker abuse. saftey gets tossed out the window to meet goals yet is ironically preached about every morning...
welcome to fedex where no one gives a shit
except maybe the driver, if he has time...
