We are subcultural alternative soul. We do not follow the way of the masses. We embrace quality art. We embrace conscious activity. We consider other conscious bloggers to be fam. We don't sweat arrogant and obviously insecure 'elitists'. If it's dope, we will wave our technicolor pom-poms. The world is changing. The blogosphere has proven that. The power is once again where it should be... in the minds and hearts of 'the original global people'.

Fun and electic. The photos -- especially the art -- really drew me in as a reader, at the same time that each one seem to point to another new and unexpected way to see Blackness and Black people. I like the contemporary culture/media arts and critique bent of your blog. It'll definitely stay on my list of regular reads.

What I like about your blog Zoe is that it's atypical for an entertainment blog. I guess it's more of a cultural blog since you hightlight underground or relatively unknown artist and not just pop artist and don't really do the salacious gossip thing.
Also, I like how you regularly take time for socio-political content as well. We can have fun and be entertained; while still being conscious and about business at the same time.

Hey Zoe - thanks so much for the comment. I must say, I NEVER do the news in any way. It makes me so very sad and I have to carry all that stuff with me for days on end. I do thank you as one soul to another for having the guts to approach issues that are in dire need of attention and I offer you my support in spirit to continue bringing the TRUTH to the fore and in turn helping these needy people all over our beautiful earth. People need to realise that we are one huge big spiderweb..a ripple this side will surely be felt on that side, we are all affected in the good and the bad,I am in south africa yet things like 9/11 broke our nations heart too. I don't listen to the top of any charts but know of her. The words you choose to express illustrate that UltraViolet flows through you, girl. I noticed the banners for Darfur and picked it up. I was wondering if you have ever heard of Lotus Tribe featuring S.E.L.F.? I have one of their songs transcribed entitled Misanthropic Philanthropy. They have a myspace page at the moment.
