Indie is the only way to go to find the good stuff! I just found a band that Jim Dickinson (Rolling Stones, Ry Cooder, Sugar Cube Blues Band, North Mississippi Allstars) produced and played on in the 70s that's released some stuff that is fantastic.
The story of the band is pretty interesting, too.
