Val City Gal
http://valcitygal.wordpress.com
I began writing a blog of sorts on Facebook using notes, back in September 2008. My husband and I had just moved from Montreal to Toronto (for work) and I wanted to let everyone back home know what we were up to.
In Montreal, we lived in a condo-style townhouse where yardwork was nonexistent and home improvements were scarce (it was a new construction). We moved into a detached house in Mississauga, equipped with yard, mature trees, inground pool and other homeowner paraphernalia, which was quite the change in itself.
I’ve always considered myself to be a city girl. Bugs still freak me out and I still can’t install a light fixture. But since our move, I’m proud to say I’ve won some homeowner battles with minimal scarring. :)
This blog began as a journal of our activities in a new city and new life. Although it’s deviated at times into random thoughts and the occasional rant, my passions remain the same (cooking, working on my Life List and making my home a happy one).
