I also attended and the friends I went with convinced themselves that it was good, but I strongly disagree. The sound was horrible. Another friend who was on David Lee Roth's side of the stage with Dave's sound guy and he said that David was slamming down his mike stands and yelling at his sound and monitor guy and the sound guy was giving Dave the finger back. His guess was that no only could Dave not hear his own voice in his ear-piece, but he thinks that Dave's mike was not compensating the high-end and low-end changes in Dave's voice. I'm not familiar with sound systems so please don't trash my comment, I'm just paraphrasing it as I understood it. Whatever the reason, I can honestly tell you that it was the worst sound that I've ever heard from VH. I've seen them 6 times and it was not good. The instruments were acceptable, but it seemed the instruments were cranked really loud and Dave had to sing over them. This was the most I've ever paid for a ticket in my life $160 and I'm trying to find a way to get my money back. I wish I could have seen this set list back in the 1984 tour when the band sounded great.

The lead vocals were cranked and the feedback was HORRIBLE. Egomanical Roth keep gesturing at the sound guys to up the levels, every time they straightened them out because he just had to be the loudest thing on stage (apart from his jacket!)
Alex's drum solo was amazing, Eddie was fabulous, and the backup vocals came through tunefully. I've heard other shows at the Verizon Center in Manchester that sounded great.
