Favourite singers of yesterday. These old cassettes date from before 1975. Probably the late 1960s. I was very happy when I was able to safeguard the music on CDs as the tapes had become very fragile. I now learn that the CDs only last on average 5 y...

horatio saltTremendous personal history of the Vietnam war c. 1965-75 brought to life by a stunning collection of photos.
AdamGreat blog. As Im ex-army (Australia) and living in Vietnam it was quite amazing to see your photo's and read your posts.
k. Madison MooreThank you for this wonderful history of Vietnam. My husband is a 100% disabled Combat Marine 1968-69.We were fascinated by the log of photos that you have collected of Nam. Great history..
Miss! What an incredible blog. I spend quite a bit of time with my students studying Vietnam later in the year and this would be one of the most personal ways I could think to teach it. Somehow having it written in a blog makes it so much more personal than them reading it in a book.
Deborah PetersenOne of the best blogs I've seen. Incredible photos and stories. Rose is an amazing writer.

Melanie FaithWow... eye-opening.
Tonet ArdaelVery inspiring, informative, and interesting blog. A truly wonderful story!
HummieWonderful tribute and treasure. Many are often not comfortable sharing war stories, much less writing such detailed descriptions. These things should be remembered. The photos touch the heart. The blog colors seem to fit the theme and are pleasing to the eye.
I would suggest smaller photos for those who have smaller screens, but not much smaller as it is nice to see them as large as possible. Also, I would suggest that the links have a name, rather than seeing the actual url. But in the scope of things, those are very unimportant compared to the value of his sharing.
SusieA memoir about the author's time in Vietnam. About the people, the country and everything in between. Great writing. :)
DrewSome fantastic photos. If they were cropped so that they fit in the content column of the blog and so that the user could click on them to get a larger image the flow would look better for the blog. Some really moving stuff on the blog though. Very powerful images and writing.
JudyThanks for rating my blog!
Wow, thank you for sharing your photos. They are fantastic. You give a great idea of what it was like. You should write a book.
Best regards,
Judy

A very informative and interesting blog. I especially appreciate the photos from the late 1960s. Would like to hear what you think of the book, His Name Was Donn: Letters from Vietnam, as it is about my brother, who was KIA in Quang Tri province in 1968.
