I came into the dealership to get a routine oil-change for my still new Dodge Ram 1500 truck, saw this awesome car in the showroom, and purchased it right off the bat. Before the oil change was done, I owned the car. I liked it that much, especially that particular color package.

Let's face it, information is also going to be asymmetric. The seller will always know more about the car than the buyer. When the seller is a dealer, he is a strong interest in not revealing everything - and that's OK as long as he doesn't concel critical information. Carfac, KBB, Edmunds etc. have changed used car buying for the better. Buy be well prepared and buyer beware - are warnings that remain as timeless as ever. I just bought a certified use car from a dealer - and so far have had no regrets.
