Winds and Vuelos

http://winds-vuelos.blogspot.com

This is a general interest blog, periodically written, with short stories and pictures of life around me. If there's any subconscious bent to its content, I'd probably 'fess up to being overly enthusiastic towards music, art, politics, and people. "Alejandro, not ANOTHER book or blog! Everything good's already been written, hasn't it??" OK, you and I have something in common: We consider windbags as welcome as feeling the rumbling gas in the stomach while riding in a slow, crowded elevator and its only the second floor to your destination's 22nd floor. If I don't have anything nice to say, you can bet I'll be on here typing like a crazed blogzmaniac. Or maybe I'll go to the 7-11 and get an extra six-pack of creativity to keep things interesting. Also, when I write in Spanish and it sucks, please forgive me, lo siento, I'm still learning. When I write in English and it sucks, please forgive me, lo siento, I'm still learning.

Mi Papá, my father, Aquiles, picture on the right, was quite a storyteller and occasionally, he would skip the colorful wrappings of prose and get to the moral of the story at hand. But it was uncharacteristic of him, he would've made an ineffectiv...

It was summer in Sacramento, the temperature reaching nearly 110 degrees outside, and having some time on my hands (a lot, actually) because I had just been laid off from my job, I saw the light! In my kitchen window, there arose a strange conglomera...
