I have lived in France many years. I still have an English accent. When people realize I am English life is easier. If I were French they would consider me a danger. I actually walk into my café carrying a copy of Libé.
You should be happy you still keep your French accent. 90% of the English have rotten pronunciation.
It's nice hearing your comments on London.
