Being rich financially usually refers to amount of money a person has, normally the average person with a million dollars is considered rich and s/he becomes the proud owner of that sought after title of many men and women- a millionaire! . The key determinant of being rich is the amount of money you have.
Being wealthy and happy on the other hand refers to how long a person can live on what s/he has without the need to work. The key determinant of being wealthy is in the kind of life style you live. It is not based on just the figure but the value that the value brings.

I don't think so many people look Money for Money but Happiness. But they know that Money can bring Happiness because when you don't have enough money that brings Unhappiness.
So I predict the majority will answer Happiness as I do

Money makes your life easier, but if you have too much you loose the sense of reality and do not appreciate those little happy moments in your life. I prefer to struggle and have a bit of both the good and the bad - one makes the other more precious. -
I'm not sure you stop to struggle even with one Billion, because you will have a life style in proportion to this wealth level and that you will fear to lose it and not being able to pay all the diamonds for your love so as for struggle I won't be so sure

I would choose the money. Happiness is fine, but it's not interesting. Plenty of people are content with being happy, but I rather enjoy having crazy experiences in my life. Sitting at home and being happily married wouldn't be half as interesting as being a grouchy, angsty artist. -

I have been well off and miserable, and poor but happy.
When you're happy, you attract happy people, and things just get better and you try new things. -
I prefer happiness it is far more powerful. Money is a tool which can enable you to get a degree of happiness for a period of time. You can have a billion pounds and still not be happy. But you can be happy without the billion pounds. Being happy does not mean that you cannot have a crazy life or have to be married.you can do both of those things. -
For all unhappy people with one Billion, if ever that happens to you, please give to me

Yeah, I'm not understand why one would separate the two.
Having all bills paid out of a bank account while I go do the things I enjoy sounds like a pretty happy oriented thing to me -
Crazy as it may seem but give me the 1 billion and see how happy I can make myself and others surrounding me. -

Ok, lets discuss about this situation.Assume that you are a billionaire but have an untreatable disease and can only live approximately 10 years.
One night an angel appeared in front of you asking if you can give up your wealthy. If your answer is yes, he promises to heal your sickness and add another 50 years to your life expand. This story sounds bullshit, such offer will not occurs in our real life.
But if it is truly happens, what path will you choose then? Wealthy? Happiness? -
One doesn't exclude the other so I would say One Billion AND Happiness -
well for me I choose 1 billion USD if with the use of that money , I can find real happiness.

Not everyone lives outside their needs.
You can have money, be happy and live a simple life without the worry to pay the cable bill.
I'd take the money because it would lift pressure.
I invest in a business so I could help other people with jobs.
I don't fly so I won't be cruising the world.
We are pretty private people, so we wouldn't live in a mansion and we are smart enough not to become targets.
I live in NY, so everything I need is here. Enjoy a dinner out, the frig would be always filled. If you live your life and don't get "Friday Rich" there is no reason that you can't have money and be happy. The problems start when a increase in money makes people think it means they increase their static as a human, and try to fit into circles you would never be in without it.
Like Jackie Gleason says, "Be nice to the people on the way up, cause you'll meet the same people on the way down." -
What if you can buy happiness using money?
You can improve ur current situation and makes ur life meaningful!

Another perspective could be -what if you the choice was between a billion dollars with unhappiness as against nothing and happiness.
Lets try to stop the 'cake and eat it brigade' have both and have them make a decision.
The choice is the money and unhappiness or no money and happiness.

If you'd have to choose one without ever having the other I'd go for happiness. Because if I chose the 1 billion, I would never be happy with anything I would use it for, so there is no point in having it.
Case solved.
If you can have one AFTER the other, obviously I'd take the money and use that to become happy. -

well seeing as i live in the uk and if im right about exchange rates, british pounds are worth about double than the dollar (im probably wrong so dont quote me on that) then 2 billion pounds might just buy me a little bit of happiness! best of both worlds -

Happiness is something that comes and goes and the 1 billion dollars cannot buy happiness. I would rather have contentment which is a different matter and it can exist in the worst of situations. With contentment I would control the 1 billion but with only happiness of the 1 billion it (the 1 billion) would control me.-

Happiness is a part of life. It comes and go. -

Happiness. I wouldn't want the billion even if I were happy. My wife inherited a bunch of money a few years ago, and she's never been more miserable. A lot of red tape cutting into her previously simple lifestyle. But once you've got it, it's hard to let go. It owns you, you don't own it.
