   Not sure I'll have the time to make something and enter this, but I'm keeping it in mind. With that generous reward though, I'm sure you'll have no problem getting plenty of submissions.
   
   Out of curiosity though: why does your wife find the current header scary? Seems pretty appropriate considering the topic of your site. Hehe.

      I'm not sure why she finds it scary. Someone else made the same comment though so there must be something to it. In any case I want something that is a bit more warm and inviting.

      I agree with Melinda (mtyler77) and your header is quite cool and not in need of changing.
      
      
      If I were to change it though - I would redo the text in the top right without the blurrr though, and make the background grey as more of a background to the text - it's too far away

      I believe in continuous improvement and I like contests. So I'll keep the contest going and maybe I'll get a nifty new header out of it!

   So far there are three submittals. Keep them coming! Just one thing I ask is try to come up with a unique file name and list the filename in your contact EMAIL. I am getting too many blogonsmog.jpg files and can't keep track of them!

    Close to where I am staying they are putting up a windmill farm. When they are done there should be 300 windmills...now that would be a much better pic than one that looks like Gary In.

    One thing that I have to state here is that there can be NO CONDITIONS of use for the winning header image. This is part of the rules. I'm paying $100 for this so I want it free and clear. AAny entry that requires links back will be disqualified. If you have this condition on your entry then please wave the condition or the header won't be in the running.
    
    I will however provide links back when displaying the entries while the contest is running.

    hmm , im keeping a watch over the contest , and have even more options that you could do with my current header without removing anything, just a little stuff that can make header look more better than it really does till now.... anyways, satisfaction is a different perspective from that of creator to the one who uses it ! WILL KEEP A VIGIL WATCH

    size of header would matter? mine is just 9kb while there are 20kb and even 150kb ones ???

       I don't care about file size (unless it is outrageous). I do care about the height of the header. Not too large because this is premium real estate.
