13 year old dad! a british boy becomes father at 13!

It’s just in January 2009 that we heard a Californian woman giving birth to 8 babies at the same time.Now a 13-year old British boy who doesn’t even know how much nappies cost,has turned out to be a father to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.
The sun has reported the news:
”Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.”
13 year old father-13 year old british boy becmoes father-catch up The pair kept the pregnancy a secret until Chantelle's mother discovered what was going on at 18 weeks after noticing her weight gain. Alfie was only 12 when Chantelle concieved but they decided against an abortion.
Chantelle and Maisie were released from hospital yesterday and will be living with her family who are supported by welfare payments.

no, Britain already has a younger dad aged 12 when his child gave birth. the world's youngest father ever is 8. The world's youngest mother ever was a 5 year old Peruvian girl who started getting regular periods at the age of 3. -

You might be surprised to learn that the boy's older sister also had a baby at 13. Guess the parents should have seen it coming.
The boy's girlfriend's parents apparently let boys sleep over in her room, and it seems that now there is some question as to whether the father really is this 13 year old boy....or someone else.-
yeah, when i was 13 or say 12... hmmmm i was not even knowing about how is it just anything about girls that way !

yeah...kinda makes it hard knowing when to talk to kids about sex, eh? I was pretty clueless about that sort of thing until I was into high school. Then you've got other kids having sex at 10 and 11 years old. Hard for a parent to decide when to start talking to their kids. In kindergarten? middle school?

It's gonna be fun at first, like playing father and mother. But then like the game, it gets old after a while and kids move on. Poor parents, having to take care of the baby while taking care of their 13 year old kids! What were the parents doing? LOL.-

Holy crap. They're still kids, children. I mean - 16-18 is young, but understandable (that was the median age for conception throughout most of the human history) but this? 13? The kids when I was growing up didn't even have hair and normal body functions at that age, we sure as hell couldn't conceive a child, and hide it from our parents!
But if it's true that this is common place for those families, and, that they allowed sexual activity to take place between children, then what did they expect.
I have no pity for the parents who will inevitably take over parenting duties - they should have been better parents in the first place. -

Eh, this is pretty common. My mom was born in 1969, I was born in 1983... so yeah it's not unheard of. In some cases it's bad parenting and in some cases it's a cultural choice. My grandfather married my grandmother when he was 15 and she was 13, they had children shortly afterwards (married before she was pregnant so it wasn't a shot gun wedding). My grandfathers parents married each other at 15, and my grandmother's parents were the odd balls at 16 and 12.
That aside, with as big and burly as that baby mama is and as little and childlike as that baby daddy is... something doesn't seem right in old girls head... that's just... eww. I think this wouldn't have gotten any coverage IF she didn't look 30 and he didn't look 5-
