I believe the number was random. The book was a repudiation of the fascist regimes in Europe and the many leftists that supported them, just as Animal Farm was a repudiation of Stalin. I liked Animal Farm alot because it was so clever.

I liked 1984 alot, too. In fact, Animal Farm and 1984 may have been the first two books i ever read. Animal Farm was the first full book i had ever read. That i know. I wasn't old enough to know the backstory so i read it again in high school and it was fun figuring out who each animal represented.

i REMEMBER MY TEACHER IN SCHOOL, HERE IN ITALY VERY FEW PEOPLE KNOW ENGLISH, ME BECAUSE I WENT IN A LANGUAGE SCHOOL, AND MY ENGLISH IS QUITE AWFUL, ANYWAY... SHE WAS MARVELOUS, ORWELL WAS ONE OF HER FAVORITE AND SHE WAS SO ENTHUSIASTIC IN TALKING ABOUT HIM AND HIS BOOKS THAT I HAVE A VERY NICE REMIND OF HER, ORWELL AND HIS BOOKS ... AND ALSO BECAUSE I THINK ORWELL PREDICTED VERUY WELL THE DEVELOP OF THE SOCIETY. EVERYWHERE WE ARE WATCHED, WE HAVE MOBILE , CAMERAS EVERYWHERE, INTERNET TOO HAS BECOME A SORT OF BIG EYE ...

DON'T YOU FIND THAT IS DIFFICULT TO PAY ATTENTION? EXAMPLE:
WHAT ABOUT BLOGCATALOG READERS THAT LEAVE YOU THE MESSAGE: "VERY NICE BLOG... BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING OF YOUR LANGUAGE" AND THEY DID NOT EVEN ENTERED ON YOUR BLOG SO THAT THEY CAN'T REALIZE THAT PART OF YOUR BLOG IS TRANSLATED? WELL, IN THIS CASE WATCH IT BUT DON'T LEAVE ANY MEANINGLESS MESSAGE...THAT IS WHY I LIKE THE PHRASE "THE BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU"
