Jacqueline or Jacque...because it's my name!
It means "may God protect", or "someone who wrongfully takes that which belongs to someone else"
    1. Jeunelle
      Wow interesting double meaning there.
  3. Stillthinking
I love the names Helena, Eloise, and Estella for girls.

For boys, I love Stephen, , Nicholas, and Graydon.

I tend to like traditional names and I am a romantic!
    1. Jeunelle
Helen and Helena are two great names indeed
    1. Jeunelle
      was a bullfrog...hehehe
  4. SweetViolet
I like flower names like violet, rose, lily. My grandmother was named Violet and one of the names I liked for my new puppy was Violet Rose. My husband, however, because she is a Yorkshire Terrier, named her Puddin'. *Sigh*

I like elegant names, old fashioned names. Jessamyn, Rosamund, Clarissa. For boys/men, I like dignified names like Oliver, Tobias, Alexander or Alasdair.

I don't like made-up names, but prefer genteel names from the past. I always wished I was named Elizabeth...
    1. janeblogs
I like the flower names as well.

Although since I saw the UK tv series "Keeping up Appearances" (with the 'bucket woman'), I haven't liked those three names so much.
~ Of the three sisters, Hyacinth is an awful snob, Rose is a dopey doormat and Daisy is all but a hooker!

Anyone seen the show & know what I'm talking about? :/
    2. SweetViolet
Yup...there was a fourth sister, Violet! I'd never heard "Hyacinth" as a name before that show, but I've know an Iris and a Delphine (Delphinium).
    3. MarriedMayhem
I love that show Keeping up Appearances..cracks me up. UK tv is the best!=)

  7. AProvisionOfGod
    Male: Chad or Justin

    Female: Sarah or Trinity
    1. Jeunelle
@AProvisionOfGod....Chad is an interesting name and a part of "ancient black africa".
Chad was and still is known as the "black land", clearly inhabited by black people or the black race, Chad was also mentioned a few times in the bible mainly in Genesis, today I know a few Chad's that are of white origin so the name has reached over cultural barriers.
  8. RenalFailure
I've always been very partial to the name Cammy.
    1. Jeunelle
RenalFailure....Don't personally know any Cammy's but I do know a Camile and she is a sweetheart.

  9. saintsinner
    1) Julie - from the Latin Julia which could mean youthful, soft-haired, or vivacious.
2)Rene- in French means born again, or reborn
    1. Jeunelle
@saintsinner....excellent and nice hearing from you
    2. Insanewm
René, in French is indeed pronounced just like reborn... Too bad it has kinda fallen into disgrace and is no longer used, it's thought of as quite old fashioned
    3. saintsinner
      @Insanewm
I still use it though. I named my son Rene. Shoulda named him Mini Hulk though. He is big, quite and you don't wanna get him mad.

I think Helen is a great name. Always liked it. For guys, I'd have to say one-syllable names work the best: Chad, Rick, Joe, etc. They sound pretty down to earth, to me.

I picked Helen or Helena too! I always thought it was so classic and strong.
