      i think a lot of people really feel for you..and i think what PetLvr said is good advice.. you can still be close together and always in each others thoughts, talking everyday perhaps on the phone.. if you cant make the long journey that is..
      I had a kind of similer situation once ( when i was visiting switzerland ) and i found this really cheap number that a lot of the local's used to call VERY cheap overseas.. it was called Helvatel.. and i could talk for hours to the USA and the UK.
      Perhaps there is something similer in germany ?

      i cant understand it so well (it is in german ) but perhaps you can find a link their to a similer german number service.

   This is a tough request - because we all wish your grandmother a successful surgery. It's a noble cause to sell all your inventory and even presell yourself for 2 years ... and I'm sure if you could rush over there you would do so ASAP.
   
   But, grandparents are usually cool with their grandchildren, aren't they? Sure it will be sad, but surely she must know you care and you are a continent away and just moved there. Maybe - instead of selling all of your art at cheap cutrate prices and yourself for 2 years .. maybe you can sell a painting or two and call your grandparents and family every day until the operation and afterwards. And, if this is such a burden for your grandfather, maybe sell a few paintings and help in recover some of his costs?
   
   I hope that didn't sound mean but more practical.

   True.
   I am already calling everyday to see how she is doing I cant speak to her since she is not allowed, so everything is through my mom.
   
   The thing is, she is already a couple of days from turning 80 and it is probable that something bad happens in surgery (just 40% chance of recovery)
   I can sell all my art and make more I have absolutely no problem with that, but If something bad happens I want to have the chance to see her at least a couple of days more... I completely understand it is not practical and that I will probably have to work several more hours a day to do some extra work and finish all illustrations... but it is something I have to do.

   Hi... yes as I was saying I do call everyday (I use Skype and it is pretty cheap, there are also some other companies that offer cheap calls phone-to-phone and sometimes I use those too.) The thing here is that I have no problem spending on calls but I do spending 900USD without having it planned.

    Well I'm sorry to hear about your situation Claudiorodval. So I did the only thing I have the power to do atm. I stumbled you blog, and linked this forum post in the review, and sent it out to the other stumblers that I know. My influence on there isn't much though, but every little bit helps right?

    Hey Claudio,what a desperate situation, really wish I could help more, I feel for you.
    I can pass on this info of your to various business contacts I have who may be interested - the more people that know about your work, can only be a bonus It's beautiful.
    But i would also add my concerns to PetLvr's - dont let desperation tie you up into something that might be bad for you long term - maybe put some limits around the time or amount of art work? Some people dont think twice about taking advantage of more generous open hearted people:(
    
    Do you know ten people who would lend you 100 USD ? Or twenty people who lend/give you 50 USD?
    
    Can you sell 9 pieces at just 100 USD ?
