   Nice list. Regarding #4, trying to break news stories first, I have found that for my niche, "crime and safety", signing up for google's email alerts on breaking stories helps. Even though the big aggregators have already broken the story, it puts me ahead of many crime blogs when I get my notifications and publish a post fast.

    Hey there, while I could just say this article is wonderful, I would rather like to make some observation and hence help you in this process:
    
    Your points are logical. But the 'way you present it', is not convincing at all. You repeatedly say, "it is very important.. it is crucial.., it is very essential.., it is highly important". Any new blogger reading your article, will be puzzled as to WHY you are saying these are highly important ?!
    
    Now you will tell me that, these are just points listed. But the way you list them is not the "proper" way. Since it arouses doubts. And most of these points are practical points and not all of them are necessary true! Different bloggers will have different approaches.
    
    Now about point (9), you say: "While designing your blog it necessary to make an email subscription button and form. This proves to be very user friendly".
    Most people can argue that this is not as vital as writing good content. And since when does a subscription form implies 'User-Friendliness' ?? I think you've confused yourself.
    
    There are other such remarks which I can make, but I think one is enough to guide you along..
    
    PS: My points here were just meant to be helpful, don't take it negative.
