My fitness-related blog has been online for around 4 months. Recently, I broke the 100 visitor per day mark.

OK, one day last month, I had more than 300 uniques, but that was an aberration. It happened because I posted a somewhat controversial article. I don't count those visits because they're not the sort of readers I want to attract.

Stats for the last month:
1,502 Visits
2,650 Pageviews
1.76 Pages/Visit
78.70% Bounce Rate
00:01:41 Avg. Time on Site
89.55% % New Visits

I'm only getting around 40% of my traffic from Google search. Hopefully my bounce rate will go down as I get more organic traffic.

I've also put a "most popular posts" widget in my sidebar. This is decreasing my bounce rate.

I wonder how my progress, if you can call it that, compares with the average?

All I know is that when I see the word "unique," I remember the question, "Do you know how to catch a unicorn?" Younique up on him.

    Hello.

Bounce rate is high and average time on site is low plus your are getting a high percentage of new visitors. That means that although you're attracting a fair amount of visits on your site, your content is not attractive enough to make them stay and visit other pages and to come back by themselves from time to time. This is where you should work for improvement.
    Hope it helps.

I've been on a month and I'm getting at least 100 unique visitors a day. If you place a paid ad on Stumbleupon, depending on how much you want to spend the day, you won't even believe how much traffic you get! When I paid $50 a day, it bounced off the charts. I changed to $5 a day and it helps...and I think even if you run it a short time, it helps, hopefully, to get return visits.
